| The world is not responding. |
[22 Jul 2006|05:29pm] |
|
I just had this weird moment a second ago. I hit the lock button twice to lock my car, and it seems for half a second, the world stopped responding. I froze in place. Did I freeze because of the shock of my car not locking, or did life simply freeze up? Once that half second was up, my car made the locking noise twice.

Sometimes, I think about a funny face someone has made and find myself wearing the same expression.

I think I like my new layout. As always, the colors do not work correctly in Internet Explorer.

| Austin! |
[02 May 2006|12:24am] |
I'm coming to Austin again. I have a lot of things I want to do this time. Here is what I am going to try to do...
Wednesday - 7:00 PM - Alamo Drafthouse Downtown Boys of Baraka
Thursday - 8:00 PM - Emos Downtown The Helio Sequence
Friday - 7:00 PM - Art Building Auditorium at UT Ransom Notes
Besides those things, I want to take pictures of the beautiful city, go to Kerbey Lane with the loramar, go to Ironworks with whoever wants meat, and find some more squirrels (if I'm lucky, maybe a squirrel riding a penguin).

| Colbert |

Did anyone else see Stephen Colbert at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner? It was both hilarious and uncomfortable. He gave a speech with the president only a few feet away. The first half of his speech was devoted to making fun of the president through jokes about NSA wiretapping, low approval ratings, and secret prisons. During the second half, he took on everyone else. It was great. There was a room full of people, but mostly awkward silences followed his jokes. Colbert has balls. Brass balls (as I believe he notes on his show).
"I believe the government that governs best is the government that governs least, and by these standards we have set up a fabulous government in Iraq." - Colbert
